How often should I have a Pest Inspection for termites?

The Australian Standard says that if a house has no termite protective measure eg: chemical treated zone (known as chemical barrier) or a termite baiting system, it is recommended to have a 6 monthly inspection and not exceed a 12 month inspection.

The main form of protection is a physical inspection zone but not all houses have this. Most people commonly know or refer to inspections as a pest inspection but it’s correct term is a visual termite inspection. If you’re still unsure of how often your home needs a termite inspection, then we recommend you book in with a licensed Pest Inspector from LessPest More Control as they will be able to assess and recommend on-going frequency of inspection.
