A new customer in Bundall recently discovered termite workings while removing some plaster from a wall.
They gave us a call and Ben headed out to carry out a Termite Inspection to the Australian Standard. This is a proper termite inspection and not just a quick “health check” of the property.
During the inspection, our Termatrac T3i picked up termite movement in the affected area, confirming that there was active termite activity.
Ben spoke with the homeowners about what he had found and explained the options for treating the termites. The next step was to put a termite barrier around the home to help protect the property from further termite activity.
The homeowners decided to go ahead with the treatment and we carried out a chemical treated zone around the property as part of the termite barrier treatment.
Finding termites in your home can be worrying, but the important thing is to get them properly inspected and treated rather than disturbing the area yourself. If you find termite workings, remember:
